In 2011, DWA successfully pitched for the title sequence of the re-formatted BBC1 show Room 101 (Hat Trick Productions). The concept for the new titles was to give a glimpse inside Room 101, with the emphasis being that it should be somewhat vast and chaotic. The visual inspiration for this aesthetic included the nightmarishly bureaucratic world of Terry Gilliam's film Brazil, as well as the logic and gravity defying work of the artist M.C. Escher.
The theme of the titles was continued in the stings for the show, zooming back into Room 101 to establish the subject of each new category.
The titles and stings were directed and composited by Dave Whyte, with Steve Green providing the 3d modelling and animation.
